Brody Brownes A Patriotic Dandy
Brody is our male chocolate labrador. He is standing at stud in Jacksonville, NC. He is AKC registered and was born on September 11th 2011, hence the patriotic name. He has a field body type with English influence in his head, chest and temperament. He weighs 95 lbs and stands 27 inches tall at his shoulder. He is our family dog who has amazed us with his gentle spirit, remarkable intelligence and willingness to please.
Our boy is a family dog but I also use him for working and competing. He has obedience, dock diving, waterfowl hunting, and deer antler shed hunting training. His first waterfowl season was a blast. He is composed in the blind and responsive on the retrieve. He is very birdy and great about watching flying and falling birds. His first shed season went well and I'm so excited to learn this sport with him. So far sheds are his favorite game, better than all his toys and second only to birds. His first dock diving competition was July 13th, 2013 and he loved every minuet. He has since competed at a national Dock dogs competition at the KY Ultimate Outdoor Expo.
Brody was completely potty trained as well as learning to sit, wave, lay down, stay, crawl on his belly, "speak" (which is a big bark), "whoof" (which is a small bark), growel, heel off leash, roll over, and shake before he was 8 weeks old. His concentration and enthusiasm have only improved from there.
Brody is water crazy, with high retrieve drive and excellent obedience. But unlike many field labs he can show energy and eagerness in the field yet be calm and obedient in the house. He was raised from birth to 8 months with children 0-5 in-home daycares and is great with kids. He sleeps in my bed and he is the ONLY lab I know of who has NEVER chewed anything he was not supposed to. All our furniture/toys/base boards/cords/etc. are intact!
Brody is offered for stud for a $400 stud fee. We require a negative Brucellosis test for a female to meet our stud.
